Check map pins

How to check map pins

  1. Pick a place from the list. The map shows where its reports are pinned.
  2. Choose Looks right if the pin is in the right spot, or Wrong place and move it (or pick the right named place).
  3. Use Not a place / remove pin if the report is not about a location. Leave it blank if you do not know.
  4. Your progress is kept in this browser only. Use the same computer and browser, and work in batches.

Handing back: click Download decisions CSV after each batch and Send it to James with your name and the date in the filename (for example pin-decisions-sam-2026-10-20.csv).

Pick a place on the left. The big red pin is where the map currently shows it; grey dots are where each report's own point was. Tick Looks right, or fix it (Wrong place: click the map, drag the pin, type a place name, or paste lat, lng; Split: move single reports; Not a place: remove the pin). Your work is saved in this browser. When done, download the CSV and send it to the site maintainer. Keys (when not typing): j/↓ next, k/↑ previous, y looks right and next, Esc cancel a move.

Select a place from the list.
