We mét the snoi just south of Waiouru and drove on snow covered roads to the Chateaue Goats were running (just), so we made it to the hut. Saturday was windy with snow blowing everywhere, the road well drifted over, and generally indoors weather. Most people ventured out for a short while but little serious instruction was able to be carried out. Sunday was little. better but at least the road was able to be cleared. Some limited instruction was given before we packed up and headed home. Unfortunately. the weather completely disrupted this AIC so we will have to condense the other two to include the required instruction and practice. Finally, I shall be overseas from now till October 10 and the Chief Guides Sub-committee will be acting for me (Dave Wills, Kev Thompson, Jack McConchie and Dave Noble). Any of them should be able to answer any queries regarding field activity. Good tramping, climbing, and skiing. See you in October Woody
