President's Annual FE Trip

Wellington reverberated to thunder as we set out. But no rainstorm at Cloustonville. A short walk to: Francis Creek.and up fly. Saturday at 7.15 we set out upp Maymorn Ridge. By 8.15 we realised we were somewhere else, but. where? Back we tracked and by 9.00 were headed in the right direction. Morning tea at. Renata. Lunch was supposed to be at Elder bivvy, but we couldn't finc it. Mark was starving. Lunch in the rain. On and up Aston in storm gear. Allan got cramp but made a: dramatiç recovery when fed salt tabs. By 6.00 we found the comfort of Alpha. Next day was the drag down the Marchant. It was cold and clear. No problems getting lost.
