The slightly more strenous daytrips have proved to be very popular again. Thirty-fourt - and Meats plus friends and acqua intances and a baby, converged on Wellington Station in bright sunlight one Sunday quite recently, appearing to suffer little from the effects of the social the night before. Their destination was Mt Climie, their leader Kate Thomas, It was a iong road walk up (800m climb): to lunch on North Climie where we were joined by the Booth family, swelling our numbers to 42. The alternative route down was through scrub and farmiand SC ome walked on two limbs, some on four while others even slid. For more details you will have to await the August Newsletter, or again maybe even the Journal. Perhaps we will even reveal the identity of the club member who smuggled a banana from the social in: her handbag, to eat on the daytrip!
