Sam Raphael Railway Station, 7 o'clock, and I was off into the hills again. This time it was Brian Hunt's Mystery, It was supposed to be a fit mystery trip but the only mystery on the trip was the fitness of the party, with two pulling out and two hobbling members. With Marshall at the wheel of the minibus, we soon arrived at Holdsworth Lodge and stumbled off into the night towards Donnelly Flat. We left at a civilised hour and headed uphill. One nameless member clad in sandshoes turned back before the top, finding the pace a bit tough. Totara Flats and lunch came soon for some, but others suffering from a various array of injuries limped pitifully along at the back. Colin led the way up on to Cone Ridge (even Marshall Turbos Clarke found Colin a tricky one to hang on to). Entering Neil Forks Hut was a new experience. This hut was oure - swept and polished. "This will not do," I said quickly stomping my wet muddy boots on the floor before the others arrived. After Daniel's lasange concoction we fell into our pits. The rain began to fail heavier than it had during the day, The morning brought more raino The decision to romp down to Hector Forks and stroll up High Ridge was rejected because the stream was up a bito So it was back up cone Ridge, down to Totara Flats, up Totara Creek and down to Holdsworth Lodged Colin set off again with the rest in tow. Piodding along behind Colin Pohl wero: Brian Hunt, Daniel Buxton, Marshall Clark, David Brown, Chris Hannen and Richard Ferguson.
