Help proofread

These reports would most benefit from a proofread or a missing detail. Newest first. Pick one, press Help proofread, and fix what you can see.

Why it matters for accessibility. Most of the older reports are scanned pages. A screen reader cannot read a picture of a page, only the typed text, and the machine-read text is full of mistakes. Typed, proofread text helps blind and low-vision readers most of all, so scan-only reports are the best place to start.

How to help proofread

  1. Pick a report from the list (use the chips to filter; scan-only reports are the best place to start).
  2. Open the report and compare its text with the scan.
  3. Press Suggest an edit and fix only obvious OCR mistakes, such as a misread word or a stray page number. Do not reword.
  4. Add a missing date or grade only if the report or scan says so.

Handing back: suggestions go straight to James through the Suggest an edit form, so there is no file to send. Many people can do this at once.
